Nanowire Quantum Dot Single-Photon Sources

Undergraduate Research Award in Prof. Michael Reimer’s group at IQC Waterloo. Nanowire QD single-photon sources for scalable quantum networking and entanglement swapping.

summer 2024 · SNOLAB

nEXO PMT Cooling System

Designed a cooling system from scratch for PMT testing as part of the nEXO collaboration. Improved analysis pipelines on the SNOLAB nearline cluster.

2025 · ENPH 472 final

Thermodynamics of Neural Network Training

Modeled NN training as a thermodynamic phase transition with a Nose-Hoover thermostat. Found a Schottky anomaly and the entropy drop driving generalization.

Quantum Teleportation using PennyLane

Simulated and analyzed the quantum teleportation circuit in Xanadu’s PennyLane. Class project with report, slides, and a video presentation.

Autonomous Line-Following Vehicle

Designed and built a small vehicle that autonomously follows a black line for the 2024 Queen’s Engineering Competition. Construction and electronics.

2024 · electronics course

Analog and Digital Circuit Design

A unity-gain Sallen-Key Butterworth filter for the analog half, and a limited counter from JK flip-flops and combinational logic for the digital half.

2023 to 2024 · QMIND

Class-Conditioned VAE for Vectorized Sketches

Co-developed a class-conditioned VAE with a bidirectional LSTM encoder to enhance vectorized sketch images. Co-authored paper, code on GitHub.
